Foreign Secretary Subrahmaniam Jayshankar's US visit : would he again fail Prime Minister Modi

New Delhi. Some say That FS Subrahmaniam Jayshankar owes this post to the applause Prime minister received at MSG in 2014. He was  Us ambassador then  and soon after Modi's US visit,  he was appointed FS in place of Sujatha Singh, who was unceremoniously removed from the post.
Since there are several occasions when Jayshankar failed Modi. Recent incident is of issuance of visa to a Uighur terrorist Dolkum Isa . One hopes he would not commit to FSA during his forthcoming visit to the US.
Game plan : Oust Narendra Modi in 2019, but before that lure him ( and if necessary force him) to sign Logistics Support Agreement (LSA)

New Delhi. Hectic parleys, one presumes , are on to push forward  LSA to its logical conclusion . Foreign Secretary S. Jayshankar is going shortly to United States to Fine tune Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit ( last during Obama administration) to that country . Pro-West and Anti-Modi elements in Indian renewed their efforts to plead for early conclusion of LSA , perhaps during Modi's visit. But, apparently, Modi administration is having a second thought over the this far reaching agreement.

Former Defence Minister A K Antony recently publicly opposed LSA calling it "dangerous" and "disasterous" for India. He said that the agreement has definite military arrangements which would go against India's national interests and enrage India's traditional friend Russia .
Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, on the other hand, says that LSA is not a military arrangement, it is only for humanitarian purposes like rescue, relief, food, water, medicine etc.
One Hopes, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not novice or gullible to succumb to hidden agenda of Anti Asia forces. Fact file says that citizen Narendra Damodardas Modi is still a persona non grata in US. His recent speeches make it clear that he is aware of a game-plan beings hatched somewhere (here or there)  to dislodge him in 2019 elections and install a Pro-West government in Delhi.

Another damage control : Uighur terrorist Dolkun Isa's visa cancelled by India

New Delhi. A Home Ministry spokesperson today said " We have cancelled the visa given to Dolkun Isa," But why did they issue visa to a person who is on red corner list of Interpol in the first place ? Something is wrong with Modi administration. It falls prey to pro-west elements so easily . The saving aspect is that there is still some room to do damage control.
After putting a brake on LSA, this is second damage control exercise by the government .
One wonders whether Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is failing Modi?

Sign of times : From "committed judiciary" to "polarised judiciary"

New Delhi. One thing is quite clear- ascend of Narendra Modi as Prime Minister has, for the first time, put a serious challenge to status quo . In that sense The Guardian's editorial ( Final Departure of British Raj) was not out of mark . Congress rule ( Pundit Jawahar Lal Nehru and Lal Bahadur Shastri) was , to some extent, continuation of Raj, in which state apparatus  functioned in the same manner as before. Indira Gandhi showed some courage and leadership to reverse the trend and   hammer the colonial eco-system . But her efforts were marred by westernised elites. Only in later period of her rule, she understood the crisis facing India . Nationhood can not be saved and safeguarded by borrowed ideologies and methods. Only a national awakening can salvage India from post-colonial ills and mentality. And when she tried to take corrective measures, westernised elites dubbed her as "Hindu Jinnah" . And then she was assassinated.
Narendra Modi, knowingly or unknowingly, is carrying forward Indiraji's unfinished task . And he faces same challenges.
Both leaders faced  challenges from judiciary. Indiraji , in utter frustration , advocated the concept of "committed judiciary". It is a mute question whether  in Modi era we are witnessing a phenomenon of "Polarised Judiciary"?

Elephant and Dragon are fighting over two rats -Maulana Masood Azhar (Kashmiri terrorist) and Dolkun  Isa (Uighur terrorist)

New Delhi . Himalayan siblings know hundred ways to quarrel . As if LSA  (Logistics Support Agreement)  were not enough a new row was manufactured to make allegations and counter allegations. Both countries fail to understand genesis and modus operendi  and modus vivendi of terrorism.
But lalbujhakkads should understand that China is better equipped and prepared to deal with Isa or Moosa . Just after the successful visits of Ajit Doval and Manohar Parrikar to China , this latest controversy provided India's "Pro West- Anti Modi" media  of  new ammo.
Brinkmanship should be avoided by both nations.

BRICS host Narendra Modi should watch what is happening in Brazil

" A coup against BRICS and against a multi polar world"

New Delhi . Prime Minister Narendra Modi should remember that today or tomorrow and most certainly in 2019 Lok Sabha election he would face similar situation as his BRICS colleague Dilma Rousseff faces these days in Brazil . Western hegemons are dismantling BRICS, brick by brick. A fourth visit to United States and an  address at Capitol Hill would not help him . In fact , as earlier experiences reveal, the US visit would coincide with unprecedented smear campaign against him .

Visit to Latur is more imortant than visit to Washington DC. Digging pits for water conservation in Latur is of more worth than an address at Capital Hill .

Drought affected masses need a sensitive, humane leader not the walking  wax figure of Madame Tussauds.

Sushma Swaraj brings good news from  Moscow - "Trilateral Russia-India-China consultation on Asia Pacific affairs in China by the end of this year"

So Logistcs Support Agreement (LSA) shall remain "in principle" for ever

New Delhi . Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj returned home with a good news - RIC (Russia, India and China) is all set to evolve its own strategy to ensure peace and stability in Asia Pacific. The joint communique issued after trilateral meeting involving Swaraj, Lavrov and Wang says-
"The Ministers reiterated their commitment to strengthening coordination and cooperation in a joint effort to maintain lasting peace and stability in the Asia Pacific region. The Ministers pledged to work together to seek common, comprehensive, cooperative, and sustainable security. They called for the development of an open, inclusive, indivisible and transparent security and cooperation architecture in the region on the basis of universally recognized principles of international law. In this regard, they confirmed their commitment towards continued discussion on regional security architecture in the Asia Pacific region under the framework of the East Asia Summit through the workshop on Regional Security Architecture and other appropriate channels and agreed to hold the first trilateral Russia-India-China consultation on Asia Pacific affairs in China by the end of this year."
This initiative would pour cold water on hot heads of western hegemons and "Pro- West: Anti- Modi" elite in India , who were shouting from the rooftops that draft of LSA would be ready in a month if not in weeks.
The RIC also adopted a sane approach to defuse situation in South China Sea . The communique says,
"Russia, India and China are committed to maintaining a legal order for the seas and oceans based on the principles of international law, as reflected notably in the UN Convention on the Law of Sea (UNCLOS). All related disputes should be addressed through negotiations and agreements between the parties concerned. In this regard the Ministers called for full respect of all provisions of UNCLOS, as well as the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea (DOC) and the Guidelines for the implementation of the DOC."
Finally, The RIC is being further strengthened by inclusion of India in Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in coming days. The communique says,
"Russia, India and China attach special importance to their joint work within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), regarding it as one of the key instruments in promoting multilateral political, security, economic and people-to-people interaction in the region....It was agreed to work towards signing the Memorandum on India’s Obligations for Obtaining the Status of SCO Member State by the Organization’s Summit in Tashkent in June 2016."

So, Sushma Swaraj again proved that she is a forceful and effective  trouble shooter for Prime minister Modi. Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar should learn a few lessons from her  on security and diplomatic issues and stop pushing   LSA which is nothing less than a Geo-Strategic suicide in the Pacific.

Kohinoor (Mountain of Light) : Narendra Modi government heaps "mountain of shame" on India

New Delhi. What a shame ! It is like 'shame of millennium'. Narendra Modi government submitted in the Supreme Court that India should not stake claim to the famed $200 million Kohinoor diamond as "it was neither stolen nor forcibly taken away". Solicitor General Ranjit Kumar, appearing for the government on Monday, said this was the stand of the Culture Ministry. He also told the court that the 105-karat Kohinoor diamond was handed over to the East India Company by Maharaja Duleep Singh.
Thank god the government lawyer did not say that India was not subjugated or colonized by British but Indians willingly accepted the benevolent, civilized British Rule. The lawyer also did  a favour to Indians by not saying that India over the centuries was not plundered by Arab barbarians but was showered with divine mercy and  message of equality.
By same logic colonial residuals will argue that 5 million people of Bengal were not died of hunger due to 'secret war' of Winston Churchill ; they died because they  stopped eating.
Modi personally owes an explanation to nation . At the least, he should direct couture ministry to withdraw its submission forthwith  and tender an unconditional apology, though no apology can mitigate the offence .
British would never return Kohinoor, they consider their birthright to plunder and violate other countries, their people and civilizations but to absolve  them from crimes against humanity is no less a crime .

Sushma Swaraj  in Moscow : Time to formalize RIC as 'Strategic Triangle'

New Delhi. Sushma Swaraj is in Moscow to take part in 14th RIC meet. In her opening remarks she said,  "These meetings provide a good opportunity to our three influential countries to exchange views on how we could jointly contribute to international peace, security and development."
She also said, " Let me re-emphasizing the importance of RIC for consultations on regional and global issues of common concern."
India always stood for multilateral approach in dealing with international issues . India also believes in Multi polar world system. These formulations came  under strain recently . Commitment and re emphasis to these principles are of utmost importance .
As we approach 'Asian century', a better understanding and coordination among Asian countries is an imperative. A strategist triangle, involving Russia, India and China, will cast a positive effect on peace ,security and stability of region.
Chinese media's barb is misplaced :  India is really the "most beautiful woman" in the world, as she is the conscience of the humanity

New Delhi. Chinese should no better. India is not only the most beautiful woman but most wise woman  of the world. After all she christened land across the Himalayas as Cheen (China) . This namakaran sanskara she had to perform like several other. In fact she saw birth of this sibling

It appears that Indians determined the Time (kaal) in reference to the birth of China. In Sanskrit/Hindi there are a few words which indicate different civilizational era- Pra-cheen (ancient) and Arvaa-cheen (recent). One way to understand these word is that Pra-cheen stands for 'before the birth of Chinese civilization' and Arvaacheen for 'after the birth of Chinese civilization' .
So editors with the 'Global Times'  are wrong in their assessment that "India wants to be the "most beautiful woman" wooed by all, especially Washington and Beijing.
In ancient Indian tradition woman does not permit anyone to woo her . She  only selects, chooses, in a svayamvar ceremony . Of course, there are many ugly men with their yellow devil bags and aircraft carriers  taking part in the recent svayamvar , but it hardly impresses the lady.
Bad joke apart, 'Global times' gave us a good news- the proposed deal (LSA) is stalled because of distrust between the two (India and United States).

India's "Pro-West and Anti-Modi" media is inventing million arguments in favour of LSA

New Delhi. One can only laugh over the coverage and analysis of proposed logistics support agreement (LSA) with United States in India's "Pro-West and Anti-Modi" media . One newspaper, in its editorial, says , LSA has nothing to do with military operations. It envisages only sharing of naval infrastructures for humanitarian operations ! Another newspaper says that LSA would enhance India's strategic autonomy. These lal bujhakkad  editorbelieve that Indian masses are as fool and gullible as they themselves  are.
Western media is quite forthright; it mentions LSA as a game changer in Asia's Geo Strategic scene. No wonder that just after India visit Defense Secretary Ashton Carter is seen  flexing military  muscles on board aircraft carrier the U.S.S. John C. Stennis .The  New York Time's story begins with intro - "over the last week in Asia , Defense Secretary Ashton B. Carter  has visited two aircraft carriers, revealed new military agreements with India and the Philippines, and generally signaled that the Obama administration had decided to lean more on military power to counter China's territorial ambition in the region."
But here Indian people are told by lal bujhakkads of India's foreign and defence offices and "Pro- West and Anti-Modi" media that LSA is only a technical reciprocal arrangement without any military component.
It appears that forces of darkness are pushing India to take jal samadhi in the Pacific.

Kollam temple fire : unusual Chinese gesture

New Delhi . This week China's top leadership showed an unusual gesture to express solidarity with India and Indian people over Kollam temple fire which claimed more than hundred lives. President Xi Jinping, Prime Minister Li Keqiang and Foreign Minister Wang Yi sent condolence messages to their Indian counterparts . Official news agency Xinhua, unusually too, displayed these messages on its web page prominently. Here in New Delhi public broadcasters- AIR and DD did not carry the news. Mainstream media was also blank. It is in fitness of things. India's Pro-West (and anti Modi) media was too busy in covering Defense Secretary Ashton Carter's visit and LSA.
Modi must have sent thanks to Chinese leaders but his twitter account failed to mention this.
Narendra Modi : from "+one diplomacy" to "-one diplomacy"

News Delhi . It is high time to remind Prime Minister Narendra Modi of his own words uttered during historic China visit last year.

Addressing students and faculty in Shanghai's Tsinghua University, Prime Minister Modi said,
“If the last century was the age of alliances, this is an era of inter-dependence. So, talks of alliances against one another have no foundation. In any case, we (India and China) are both ancient civilizations, large and independent nations. Neither of us can be contained or become part of anyone's plans.”
And more importantly Modi described  his relationship with President XI Jinping as  "+One". Addressing Indian diaspora in Shanghai , Modi said with President Xi Jinping he established a "+One relationship" . Without explaining this equation he said, it would take time for the world at large to comprehend this "+One relationship". '
So astute 'Narendra' rejected 'Barack's' "Pivot to Asia" policy in no uncertain term and that too on China's soil.
One wonders how these words are compatible with Defence Minster Manohar Parrikar's logistics support agreement (LSA) misadventure .
LSA fallout : Sushma Swaraj has to do damage control in Russia
Narendra Modi should veto logistic support agreement (LSA) : it is detrimental to Asia

Thursday 14 April 2016

Narendra Modi Uvach : Dear Barack , Indian people love you, and your warships too !

New Delhi . Narendra Modi , of course, did not say this . But his Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar,  apparently, did say . Has he exceeded his brief . Modi owes it to  nation to clear government's position regarding proposed logistics agreement with the United States. It is an existential question for Asia and Indian /Chinese civilization. Too much is at stake .

India- US logistics agreement : beginning of end of "Asian century" ?
