Varanasi March 12. In Delhi we thought Narendra Modi's Poor-Poor mantra is all rhetoric but the  ground zero unraveled the secret- blind faith in persona Modi . Moving around holy city and surrounding areas I tried to understand mystery behind  Verdict- 2017. It was a Subaltern Uprising! 
Most backward castes, dalits, poor and peasants made it possible. Party cadre, money, media and other resources played little role. 
And make no mistake -Subaltern Uprising is a real one, Narendra Modi' Agnipariksha begins just now. Failure is not an option.

Narendra Modi's mentor : a domestic helper or Amartya Sen ?

Varanasi, March 11. In Varanasi, we say, every one is a Pundit and every one is a Raja (king). So is little domestic helper Golu, who works as a domestic helper in neighbor's house. She is not a drop out as she never entered in a school. She along with her mother earns some money to run the household. Her father, an alcoholic, died recently after his lungs failed.
The little Golu was exited over the Verdict- 2017 especially the Varanasi results. I heard her expert comment when she told the house lady, " auntie now Modi will demonetize currency note of Rs 2000!"
I was stunned. The words were like lighting which must have traveled to Raisina Hills.
Nobel Laureate  Amartya Sen is no match for little Golu  of Varanasi. I saw Goddess Annapurna, the presiding deity of our holy city in Golu.

Varanasi. March 11. Narendra Modi should just ignore advice of Lord Meghnad Desai regarding labor reform. In fact Labor Laws should be further strengthened to enhance job security of worker and stability in the house hold .
PM should take steps to give  constitutional status to Media, the Fourth Estate and end contract system in the  country, to begin with in Media, where Media Barons treat journalists as bonded laborers or worst. A constitutional status to Media would act as an effective check on Fake News. 
Verdict- 2017 is all about peasants and workers of the country.

But then Harvard also belongs to Professor Diana L Eck (Daughter of Benares) who knows Kashi better than Narendra Modi, Our Man in Parliament
